satan loves this.
Satan loves to create a spirit or an atmosphere of confusion, frustration, and discouragement to slowly break down the bonds of trust we have with others.
This occurs through simple things like miscommunication, misunderstanding, and misguided efforts. When we interpret or represent something that is perceived in a different way by others, an opportunity has been created for Satan to create a foothold or a loophole in our thoughts or actions to begin speaking lies or twisting truths to create a break down in our relationships.
But, if we are ever-mindful of this and on alert - essentially anticipating his crafty deceit - we are much more likely to identify this much sooner, recognize it for what it is worth, and crush Satan’s attack under our heel.
Beyond all of this, it is important to recognize the significant power of Satan and his trickery. He lives in the spiritual realm and is, simply put: stronger and much more powerful than our natural, fallen human selves. Recognizing this though also means that we can see God Himself exists in this realm and is the one who has the power over Satan and banished Him from heaven.
Now we are able to fight against the power of Satan with the power of God, through the Holy Spirit that literally indwells our spirit. We have the authority of Christ and the power of God living inside of us!
Talking and walking with Christ each and every day also allows us to recognize His Spirit and His Voice much more frequently and quickly. In turn, this also allows us to recognize any voice that is NOT His much more quickly. This is one of the most significant abilities we have as sons and daughters of the King! And as such, we have the freedom and ability to be tapping into this power at all times. (Remember… God exists in the spiritual realm: no sleep needed.)
This is what we know as His children: We can stand in HIS authority. What an amazing gift!
Think about one area or situation in your life that you are experiencing confusion, frustration, or discouragement.
Now take a step out of it (remove yourself from it mentally) and think through how Satan could be influencing your experience in that.
Write down the lies that you now recognize as Satan’s work in that situation.
Speak over those lies in the authority you have through Christ, telling Satan he does not have authority or power over you because you belong to Jesus Christ, the son of God who defeated death and will reign victorious into and through all eternity. If there is anything Satan doesn’t want to hear or think about, it’s what happens at the end of his time roaming this earth.
